2.1 Registration via the Crown App

Prospective members may begin the registration process through the Crown app by providing their full legal name, Australian residential address, date of birth, email address and mobile number. Email confirmation is completed via a verification link and mobile number confirmation via a time-limited SMS code.

Registration initiated through the app is not considered complete until the member attends a Crown Rewards desk at Crown Perth in person, presents original acceptable identification and collects their membership card. Remote registration does not substitute for in-person identity confirmation.

2.2 Acceptable Identification for Crown Rewards

Crown Perth’s acceptable identification requirements comply at a minimum with customer identification procedures under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006.

2.3 Digital Identification

Certain digital driver’s licences are accepted for entry to the casino under the Terms of Entry. However, for Crown Rewards membership verification and related AML/CTF compliance purposes, physical original documents are required. Digital forms of identification may not be accepted for Crown Rewards identity verification. Guests are advised to bring physical original documents when attending a Crown Rewards desk.

3. Carded Play on Electronic Gaming Machines

All guests who wish to play electronic gaming machines at Crown Perth casino must hold a current, valid Crown Rewards membership card. A membership card is considered valid for carded play only when all of the following conditions have been met:

  • Identity has been verified using a current physical form of acceptable identification.
  • A photograph has been added to the membership card.
  • Time and loss limits have been set and a Time and Loss Self-Declaration form has been signed.
  • Contact details have been updated to allow Crown Perth to issue monthly player activity statements.

Each person wishing to play electronic gaming machines must hold their own individual membership card verified against their own personal identification. Cards are not transferable.

4. Deposit Account - Identity Requirements

Crown Perth requires identity verification before a Deposit Account can be opened. A valid, current photographic identification document in a form acceptable to Crown Perth must be presented prior to account creation. This requirement exists to meet Crown Perth’s obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006.

Once a Deposit Account has been opened, a current valid photographic identification document must be presented to conduct any transaction on the account. Where Crown Perth permits it, a valid Crown Rewards membership card may be used in place of a photographic identification document for transactions on an existing Deposit Account.

Cash transactions of five thousand Australian dollars or more may require the presentation of identification as part of Crown Perth’s regulatory and anti-financial-crime obligations.

5. Additional Verification - Tiers and Premium Areas

Crown Rewards members may be asked to provide additional identification and personal information as they progress through Crown Rewards membership tiers.
